This policy applies worldwide, with additional statutory rights for customers in the European Union (EU), United Kingdom (UK), Norway, and Iceland (see "Region-Specific Rights" below). Nothing in this policy limits your legal consumer rights.


1. Return Window

You have 30 days from the date your order is delivered (based on shipping carrier confirmation) to request a return.

For damaged, defective, or incorrect items: please contact us within 14 days of delivery so we can resolve quickly. Your statutory rights (UK 30-day right to reject; EU 2-year legal guarantee) are not affected by this contact window.

2. Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • In resellable condition
  • Free from signs of wear, washing, perfume, makeup, deodorant, or pet hair
  • Returned with original tags attached where practical
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase (order number or confirmation email)

For customers in the EU and UK: you have the legal right to handle and inspect items as you would in a physical store, including trying garments on to check size and fit. We will not refuse a refund on this basis. However, items showing diminished value beyond reasonable inspection (e.g., obvious wear or laundering) may have their refund reduced proportionally, as permitted by EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU and UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

3. How to Start a Return

  1. Email us at support@everclothed.com with your order number and reason for return
  2. We'll respond within 1 business day with return authorization and instructions
  3. Ship the item back using the method we provide
  4. Once received and inspected, we'll process your refund or exchange

Returns sent without prior authorization may be refused or delayed.

4. Return Shipping Costs

When EverClothed covers return shipping

We provide a prepaid return label, free of charge, when:

  • Item is damaged or defective
  • Wrong item, size, or color was shipped
  • Item is significantly different from its product description
  • The customer exercises their EU/UK statutory cooling-off right (see Section 8)

When the customer covers return shipping

For change-of-mind returns (including sizing or fit), the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend a tracked shipping method, as we cannot be responsible for returns lost in transit.

To make returns easier, we offer a discounted prepaid return label that can be deducted from your refund. Email us to request one.

5. Refunds

Processing Time

Once we receive and inspect your return, we issue your refund within 14 days (often much faster).

Refund Method

Refunds are issued to your original payment method, in the original currency. Depending on your bank or card issuer, funds may take an additional 3 to 10 business days to appear.

What Gets Refunded

  • Product cost: always refunded in full for eligible returns
  • Original outbound shipping: refunded for EU/UK statutory withdrawals and for our-fault returns (defective, damaged, wrong item). Not refunded for change-of-mind returns from other regions
  • Premium/express shipping upgrade: the difference between standard and premium shipping is non-refundable

If more than 15 business days have passed since we confirmed your refund and you haven't received it, contact us at support@everclothed.com.

6. Exchanges

Exchanges are easy. Choose one of three options:

Option 1: Direct exchange (recommended) Email us with your order number and the new size, color, or product you'd like. We'll reserve your replacement and send return instructions for the original. Replacement ships once we receive your return.

Option 2: Store credit + 10% bonus Return your item for EverClothed store credit and we'll add a 10% bonus as our thank-you for choosing store credit. Use it on anything in our shop.

Option 3: Refund + new order Return your item for a full refund and place a new order separately.

7. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect:

  1. Contact us at support@everclothed.com within 14 days of delivery
  2. Include clear photos of the issue and your order number
  3. We'll arrange a free replacement, exchange, or full refund (your choice)
  4. We cover all shipping costs

In some cases, depending on the issue and item value, we may process your refund or replacement without requiring the original item back.

8. Region-Specific Rights

🇪🇺 European Union, Norway, and Iceland

Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason.

To exercise this right:

Within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice, we will refund:

  • The full product price
  • Standard outbound shipping costs (we are not required to refund any premium shipping upgrade you chose)

The refund will go to your original payment method. We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods back or until you provide proof of return shipment, whichever comes first.

You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods. This cost can vary depending on your country and the shipping method you choose.

You also have a 2-year legal guarantee against defects under EU law, separate from this return policy.

🇬🇧 United Kingdom

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from delivery to cancel your order without reason. Refund and shipping rules mirror the EU section above.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you also have:

  • A 30-day short-term right to reject faulty goods for a full refund
  • Rights to repair, replacement, or partial/full refund for inherent defects, available for up to 6 years from purchase

Our 30-day return policy and 14-day damaged-item contact window are commercial offers in addition to (not in place of) your statutory rights.

🇺🇸 United States

This policy applies uniformly across all US states. Where state law (including California Civil Code §1723, New York General Business Law §218-a, Florida Statutes §501.142, Massachusetts 940 CMR 3.13, and other state-specific consumer protection provisions) provides additional rights, those rights are preserved.

This policy is conspicuously displayed prior to purchase to satisfy state disclosure requirements (including the requirements applicable in California, New York, Florida, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Utah). We do not charge restocking fees.

9. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned (except where required by law for damaged, defective, or incorrect items):

  • Gift cards
  • Custom or personalized items made to your specification
  • Personal care, hygiene, or intimate apparel items where the protective seal has been broken
  • Final sale or clearance items (clearly marked as such at the point of purchase)

Even items marked as "final sale" remain eligible for return if they are damaged, defective, or incorrect on arrival, in line with consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.

10. Customs Duties and Taxes (International Returns)

For international return shipments, the customer is responsible for any applicable customs duties, taxes, or carrier handling fees. Please clearly mark return shipments as "RETURNED GOODS" on the customs declaration to avoid additional charges.

If charges are wrongly assessed to EverClothed, they may be deducted from your refund.

11. Lost or Stuck Returns

If your return tracking shows no movement for 14 days, contact us with the tracking number and we'll help locate your package.

12. Policy Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. The version applicable to your order is the one published at the time of your purchase. By placing an order on everclothed.com, you agree to this Return & Refund Policy in effect at that time.
